Suffield

Located on the Connecticut River between Hartford, Connecticut, and Springfield Massachusetts, Suffield i proud of its heritage and its steady growth, a product of careful planning. Beginning as a farming community in 1670, Suffield maintains a delicate balance between its colonial roots, and today's modern life-style.
Suffield is a gracious town with a rural flavor in a suburban setting. The twon center boasts a small shopping complex and an excellent library. Recent expansion of public buildings includes a police station, and new school. Bradley International Airport on the southern boundary attracts business, while quick access to I-91 makes commuting up and down the Connecticut River valley from Vermont and New Hampshire to Long Island an easy trip.

This town is rich in contrasts - sweeping fields, forested hills, a vintage main street, farms, shopping, and a lake.

Suffield Town Green

Town Green: The town's first meetinghouse was built on this ground about 1680. It was established in the early days of the community and served as a focus for religious, civic and educational activity over time. Important institutions surround the green which include Suffield Academy, First Congregational Church, Second Baptist Church, and the Kent memorial Library.

The town Hall, located on Mountain Road,is a focal point for the community. Important town business is conducted here nearly every day. The First Selectman, elected by the people, leads the town staff in providing local services. Several Boards and Commissions meet at the Town Hall to determine the future of the town.

Real Estate Tips
Selling Your Home >Marketing Techniques

When a seller lists a home with a real estate agent, a lot of brainstorming follows. Who are the potential buyers, where do they live and work? How can they be reached effectively with information that will attract them to this particular property?

In addition to advertising each home on the widely used Multiple Listing Service, professional real estate agents employ marketing techniques tailored to the individual home they are selling. An agent will review various buyer lists to find potential purchasers. They will use telephone and direct mail marketing, produce property flyers and advertise on the Internet, in the newspaper, in community publications and in real estate magazines. Contacts will be made to other agents who sell homes in the area to encourage them to show the home to prospective buyers.

Real estate agents combine pro-active marketing with realistic pricing to generate results for their home sellers.
